Tomorrow, October 25th, 2018, Austin Film Festival will officially begin it’s 25th year. Known around the nation as the writer’s festival, AFF is gearing up to welcome celebrities and industry professionals as they flock to attend panels, pitch their scripts, hang at the Driskill Hotel, and figure out what the heck Natalie Portman is doing in Vox Lux. It’s a fantastic week full of movies, inspiration, and community.

Austin Film Core is proud to announce their partnership with Austin Film Festival this year and we’re presenting three films that we hope you’ll take the time to schedule if you’re attending this week. Take a look at these films:

Seeing this, Captain Kalm, the camp commandant gives Parikka and unexpected offer: if the actor and his fellow captives can put on an entertaining play for his German guests, they will be spared

Ann is consumed by the fantasy of finding true love, but just when she thinks she’s found it, she is friend-zoned. The disappointment of rejection sends her into an obsessive downward spiral that tests the limits of her sanity and the strength of her closet friendship. In order to reclaim her bearing on reality, she confronts her overgrown fantasies by making a film about the experience. The result is a vulnerable, hilarious, and vibrantly stylized investigation of love.
